1 Kausani ( Uttrakhand) 

Kausani is a small village in Bageshwar district of Uttrakhand in India. Kausani is known for its beautiful landscapes and is surrounded by Someshwar valley on one side and Garur and Katyuri valley on the other side. Kausani is at a distance of 40 km from the Bageshwar town. Situated at a height of almost 6200 ft above the sea level, the village has a beautiful ambiance and a pleasant weather during the summers. Temperature ranges between 10 to 26 degrees in summers.

The places of interest around Kausani are Rudrahari falls and caves, Baijnath Temple, Gwaldam a beautiful, quaint and sleepy village sandwiched between Garhwal and Kumaon, Gwaldam is a place straight out of a fairytale. And a perfect way to rekindle your spirits is the Trek to Pinnath. Pinnath is approachable from Kausani only via a trek of 5 km. Known for its temple, this place offers a sense of pleasure when surrounded by the wilderness of nature.

2 Dalhousie- Chamba (Himachal Pradesh)

Dalhousie is a hill station in Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, India.Chamba is situated on 5 hills and has an elevation of 1,970 meters above sea level. This hill region is a repository of ancient Hindu culture, art, temples, and handicrafts preserved under the longest-running single dynasty since the mid-6th century. Chamba the Capital town is the hub of this culture. There is a place named Bharmour which has 84 ancient temples dating from the 7th–10th centuries AD.

Dalhousie is a beautiful tourist spot and is just 14 km from the Chamba town. While Dalhousie has a large number of hotels to accommodate the visiting tourists, the town also offers several non-hotel stays like independent villas and bungalows, which offer an alternative to typical hotels. Also one can visit the Chamba town and  Khajiar another beautiful place which is 22km from Dalhousie. Khajiar has a beautiful lake and one can have a feeling of being in heaven as this place is also called mini Switzerland of Himachal.  3 Thanedar (Narkanda)

Thanedar is a village in Himachal Pradesh in India. It is situated at  8,000 feet (2,400 m), and is 445 km from Delhi and is about three-hour drive from Shimla. It is slightly higher than Shimla (7,400 feet) and the road linking the two runs almost near the crest of the mountain with a gradual ascent. One is constantly treated to a bird’s-eye view of different valleys as the road twists and turns from one spur to another.

The beautiful orchard country of Thanedar and Kotgarh is famous for being home to one of the first apple plantations in the country. It was here in Kotgarh in 1916 that Samuel Stokes, a social worker from Philadelphia, brought the first apple saplings, and he adopted this place as his home.The area around Thanedar is also the orchard region of Himachal Pradesh, where cherries, strawberries and apples etc. are grown in abundance.

Places to visit in Thanedar is Jubbarhatti lake, The Hatu peak, and the Narkanda town which is famous for its beautiful ski slopes. The valley has a very pleasant temperature during summers so it is an ideal destination to travel in summers.

4 Dhanaulti (Masoori)

Dhanaulti is a hill station 24km from the famous destination Masoori and 31km from Chamba. Dhanaulti is between these two stations. The main attractions of Dhanaulti are Eco parks. There are two eco parks “Amber” and “Dhara”. Both the parks are at a distance of 200meters apart. One can enjoy the adventure sports like walking over the Burma bridge, flying fox and horse riding. One can also plant a sapling in the memory of one’s beloved here of any tree species which is called memory sapling plantation. Also one can visit the Sukranda Devi temple which is 8km towards Chamba. One can enjoy trekking towards this road.

5 Kasol ( Kullu)

Kasol is a  beautiful village in the Parvati valley of Kullu in Himachal Pradesh. It is on the way to Manikaran and lies between Bhuntar and Manikaran. One can take many beautiful treks from Kasol. As it is the nearest village on road for Malana another village famous for being the oldest democracy. Another trek one can take is Kheerganga Trek, which is really beautiful and one can enjoy the adventure of trekking by joining any trekking group under the professional guide. Also, one can Enjoy relaxing by the river side of Parvati river or indulge in the activities like trout fishing and river rafting. The nearest air port to Kasol is at Bhunter which is just 31 km from here.
